Back from York

Norma and I are back from a lovely Easter weekend away in the city of York.

Great to be with a bit of family, little Albert was a treat to see, we visited a model railway exhibition at the racecourse, the displays were very good Albert (Helmut really) got a starter 00 gauge model railway. Helmut will have hours of fun I am sure.

Norma and I took a boat cruise around the Ouse and visited the Castle Museum both of which were very enjoyable.

One of the Hotpoint's was eating in Harvilles Restaurant in York http://www.harvilles.co.uk/ what a lovely place. Our hotel called Piccadilly 53 http://www.hotel53.com/welcome.html a well located hotel which was very nice also, an ideal base for all the sights, some good pubs in the area.
