The cancer journey. Right had my 4th treatment, in current sequence of Cetuximab link and   Irinotecan link Early in the treatment, I had issues with fatigue, then after the first two treatments a rash developed. My chemo effects are now wearing off, they did not effect me as much this time. Rash although there, is not as irritating as much, hair just about gone, fatigue not as noticeable, some short term memory loss, mainly around descriptive words, peoples names. Wow, I feel good today, best in a long time, happy in body and mind. I am just coming around from the after effects of my New Chemo treatment. YES the funding came through. GOD BLESS the Christie Trust. UPDATE; Mark, my friend has headed south to visit his Mum and Dad, he flies back to the Ukraine tomorrow, Friday. Just out of the shower, I am still a bit scared of being in the shower, so Norma sits outside and keeps an eye on me. Our land line is down at home, it will takes up to 7 days to fix. A car hit the cabinet about a month ago and BT seem to be rebuilding the whole box and this means intermittent service. Tuesday Norma and I had a number of issues getting my bags stuck to my ever expanding stomach, this was upsetting to us both and very frustrating at times. Visited my consultant on Thursday, not knowing if I was just going to be kept on chemotherapy or be operated on. After a chat, it has shown that there was a third option, after my last scan (PET) the week before, there is no sign of any Cancer. Sorry for the late posting but I have been a bit busy with Hospital appointments etc. Still waiting on the results of the MRI scan that was ordered by my specialist's in the NMGH North Manchester general Hospital, 'the Christie' Hospital is not aware of the outcome either.
